IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

To attend the course, participants should be in San José (capital city of Costa Rica) not later than May Saturday 19th., since we will travel by road to the Coto locality on Sunday 20th. The return to the country of origin could be made from Sunday 03th . Complete dedication to the course is required, so we do not include a spouse program.

Due to logistic reasons, we need a minimum of students to make the course possible, so we request any interested party to confirm its participation as soon as possible. ASD Costa Rica reserves the right to cancel the course if there were not enough students or for any other reason that may conflict with its interests. In such a case, any funds received will be reimbursed accordingly.

ACCOMODATIONS 

Upon arriving in San José, participants will stay at Hotel Tryp Sabana. Lodging and breakfast in that hotel is included in the course price. During the course, students will stay at Hotel Andrea in Neily city. This hotel has all basic services, including laundry, wireless internet, cable TV, air conditioning, restaurant etc. The price of the course includes lodging, breakfast and lunch in this hotel.

Dinner, laundry, phone calls and other services will be on the participant’s account.

INVESTMENT 

The cost of the course is US $ 3,000 for each participant. This amount covers: 

  • ·         Registration, classes, field practices, written material and up to 100 photocopies if needed

  • ·         Coffee breaks (mid morning and mid afternoon)

  • ·         Ground transportation from San José and around during the course time

  • ·         Lodging, breakfasts and lunches in Coto and Quepos

  • ·         Participation in all social activities (leisure and closing activities)

  • ·         A certificate of participation

  • ·         A basic medical insurance during the duration of the course

The following is not included:

  • 1.      International transportation

  • 2.      Transportation or any other expenditures while in San José

  • 3.      Lodging for more than two nights in San José

  • 4.      Dinners

We estimate that on average, a student will need around $ 750 extra US dollars for a stay of two weeks in Costa Rica

A person must confirm its participation by paying 100% of the rate, not later than May 04th. 2012. Please visit our web site, www.asd-cr.com for updates on this activity. ASD Costa Rica reserves the right to change the directives of this document according its interest. The course can be cancelled up to two weeks before the planned date if we do not have a minimum number of students according to ASD opinion.

General Guidelines

  1. The participant must cancel 100 % of the cost of the course by May 04th. 2012
  2. The maximum number of students accepted is 20
  3. If a person cannot participate and ASD has already received payment, ASD will reimburse the total amount received, if communication of no participation is received one month before the start of the course. The amount reimbursed for later cancelations will be 60% of payment. Once the course starts, there will be no reimbursements
  4. There will be no written evaluations, but any participant must attend no less than 95% of activities for him/her receive the certificate of participation
  5. ASD Costa Rica expects a proper behavior from every participant. If an improper behavior is known to occur, the participant will receive a verbal call. If the improper conduct persists, the participant could be expelled from the course, and no reimbursement will be made
  6. ASD Costa Rica will not be liable for accidents, robbery or any other unexpected situation occurring to participants during the course. However, we will take all precautions to avoid such situations. So far, during more than 30 courses realized, no such situations have occurred to any student.
